**Pay Rate is $11/hr.** This is a Temporary/Seasonal position from 06/09/2025 to 08/15/2025 Schedule for the position is Monday-Friday from 10:30am - 5:15pm The Salvation Army Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Summary/Primary Purpose: This position protects, guides, stimulates, and helps the children in our program. This position shares in developing our programs and program procedures. This position becomes the counselor, teacher, spiritual leader, confidante, and role model. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must be able to drive a 12-passenger van. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR and First Aid certification. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee may be occasionally required to engage in rigorous activities involved with participating in recreational activities with children. Must be able to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and run. Must be able to life a child up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Must be able to keep up with children who are full of energy. Must be able to frequently be in the sun and outside in varying weather conditions. Noise level is moderate to loud.
