Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Regional Product Support Sales Manager in Baltimore, Maryland. The Regional Product Support Sales Manager oversees the Product Support efforts with point of focus for strategic, tactical, customer support and marketing activities. This includes the management and coordination of outside sales representatives and wear parts specialist within an assigned region with focus in participation, sales and market share of existing, second tier, and new customers. Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years' sales management experience. Minimum of five years' service operations management experience in the heavy construction equipment industry or a service-related industry, preferred. Minimum of three years supervisory experience required. Bachelor's degree in Business Management or other related field of study preferred.

Requirements for the Regional Product Support Sales Manager position include:

  • Must have basic accounting and financial skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid driver's license.

Physical requirements must be met for the Regional Product Support Sales Manager job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 20 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Starting Compensation Range: $120,000- $150,000 a year

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, candidate qualifications, education, geographic location, and other relevant business factors. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance e.g. discretionary incentive programs or non-discretionary incentive plans.
