Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships Job Description
The Financial Aid Processing Coordinator - Outside Scholarships oversees complex financial aid programs and ensures compliance in each program. This position analyzes, processes, awards, and revises financial aid packages for students including all financial aid programs administered by UMKC. Additionally, this position processes all external scholarships. The coordinator must have excellent process-improvement and documentation skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet the needs of a diverse student population. This is primarily an in-person job, but the combination of a hybrid schedule of in-person and remote work is negotiable after a 6-month training period. Characteristic Duties
Shift
The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is a primarily front-facing office. Typical hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. This position is eligible for hybrid work-from-home scheduling after 6 months of employment. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
$18.50 - $19.92 per hour commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity. Application Deadline
