The M365 Security Protect Team is dedicated to securing the world's most extensive productivity applications, including Office, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams (M365). We provide cutting-edge protection solutions focused on access control, engineering, DevOps, and data analytics to identify threats and safeguard our M365 services, which are critical targets in the cybersecurity landscape.We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our M365 Security Protect engineering team. In this role, you will develop and maintain world-class, scalable, and reliable cloud services that are built to continually enhance and support the security posture of M365, while also creating innovative solutions to help our products meet security requirements seamlessly. You'll also be able to leverage AI and build Copilot technologies to stay ahead of attackers, enhancing our ability to innovate and protect.As a Senior Software Engineering Manager in this group, you will help us build and architect new services and experiences that will extend our portfolio of world-class solutions for protecting M365. You will be responsible for leading, growing and mentoring a team of creative and passionate software engineers building high quality security cloud services in Azure. You will be investing your time into solving hard security problems, defining architecture, partnering, and ensuring high code quality, availability, scalability, and security of our services. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and productive engineering culture and cultivating this team to build best-in-class solutions with direct impact on protecting our M365 customers.As part of the Microsoft Security organization, you will have a direct impact in contributing to 'Security above all else' as part of the Microsoft Secure Future Initiative (SFI), driven by our mission to protect customer data and privacy in the world's largest productivity suite. ResponsibilitiesManage, support, and grow an inclusive and diverse team with a great engineering and collaborative culture. Analyze complex cloud security problems, identify, and design solutions, and make high-impact improvements in close collaboration with other engineers across the C+AI division and throughout Microsoft. Develop large-scale integrated services with enterprise-class quality and utilize your design, customer obsession, and communication skills to bring great experiences for all users. Build and innovate shift-left security solutions and services powering the future of secure clouds and integrate it with existing Azure services. Solve significant technological challenges impacting the team and our customers. Partner and collaborate with peer engineers and customers to deliver impact on our products. Utilize excellent communication skills coupled with sound business judgement to drive success across large number of stakeholders Strong cross-division collaboration skills. Participate and provide high quality feedback in design reviews, code reviews and other team activities.Drive technical investigations and prototyping in a fast-paced startup environment | |
