Overview

Summary

The Vice President of Professional Services Networking/Datacenter is accountable for overseeing the teams' developing, selling and successfully delivering the set of client engagements necessary to achieve the annual financial targets for C1's professional services delivery. The Vice President of Professional Services provides oversight on all projects related to the teams being managed ensuring client satisfaction, appropriate executive level communication - both internal and external, escalation and resolution of engagement issues and appropriately directing and coaching team resources. This position is accountable for ensuring that the revenue and gross profit goals for the C1's practice(s) under their management are achieved and assists with resources hiring and staffing.

  • Transactional NPS (customer sat)
  • Maximization of C1 resources and limited 3rd party usage

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Develops the overall short- and long-term Professional Services strategies in collaboration with the executive team
  • Aligns tightly with the PMO organization to maximize project completion on time on budget
  • Works closely with Practice Directors on key opportunities and delivery of solutions provided by the practice
  • Optimizes C1's services offerings by first evaluating and strengthening current offerings and secondly, supporting portfolio and offer management in the PS readiness of new offers
  • Establishes standards for SOW, pricing and GM to ensure consistent and profitable practices across the regions; implements processes for measuring and capturing change orders
  • Establishes consistent processes and infrastructure support across regions to ensure improved efficiencies and quality in overall solution delivery; earns the support and confidence of the Regional Sales Directors
  • Maximizes the efficiency and cost effectiveness Professional Services department by analyzing time data and utilization rates, identifying anomalies and critical areas, then utilize the information in future planning, budgeting and to make any required adjustments
  • Works in close coordination with finance, and collaborate with sales, on revenue performance and to provide operational reporting and metrics, build budget, and other reporting and measurement requirements
  • Evaluates organization's current talent (competencies), and based on the gap analysis, develops a resource/staffing plan to remediate, strengthen and position Professional Services for aggressive growth in conjunction with key management (Sales VPs, Service VPs/Directors, et al)
  • Ensures that employee training and certifications are meeting or exceeding industry standards by formalizing and tracking development planning
  • Establishes partnerships with top tier third party resources to establish loyalty, responsiveness, favorable pricing and exceptional service delivery to our customers
  • Oversees IT Recruiting activities and performance; responsible for Profit and Loss Statement (P&L) for the department


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Track record of developing and proposing innovative and complex service-based solutions for customers
  • Demonstrated success growing, managing and optimizing a $50M+ P&L
  • Minimum 10+ years experience in networking, security, or mobility implementation services
  • Minimum 10+ years experience selling consulting/professional services to C level executives
  • Minimum 10+ years experience managing a Professional Services Organization with 50+ employees
  • Direct experience in IT Infrastructure, Unified Collaboration, Datacenter, Networking, Security and Contact Center services market
  • Possess sophisticated client interfacing skills built on a consultation model
  • Excellent communications/presentation skills
  • Proven track record of increasing Consultant Utilization, Billings and Margins
  • Strong staff management and experience working in a matrix organization

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years experience managing a Professional Services Organization in the Solutions Provider space
  • Experience in the integration of acquired companies, ensuring that professional services teams are effectively merged and aligned with our culture and operational practices.
  • Current regional or national level working relationships with any of the following: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, HP Aruba, and Dell
  • Experience managing or working with offshore resources.
  • Existing relationship(s) with top tier industry third party resource providers.

Pay Range

$200,000 - $225,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
