Quality Engineering Intern

This internship role will be a Quality Engineering role focusing on lean methodologies to perform tasks by utilizing lean methodologies to perform tasks such as time studies, value stream mapping, tact time and standards work.

Essential Duties

• Variety of experiences and duties which may include:

• Perform department-specific project work

• Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations

• Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files

• Manage databases and input information, data, and records

• Research and gather documentation on company's position in the industry

• Attend company functions and networking events

• Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks

Qualifications

Education/Skills:

* Undergraduate with major in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering (Plastics)

* Solidworks experience desired.

* Minitab desired.

* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Self-directed and able to work without supervision

* Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
