Job Description

The Integration and Support Engineering (ISE) unit is responsible for the hardware, software, and firmware integration of complex Instrumentation & Control (I&C) building blocks. Unit personnel develop, integrate, test, and support I&C work products associated with application hosting building blocks, such as processor cards, interface modules, and new developments.

In addition, the ISE unit provides support to I&C application developers and integrators. This position will assist or lead in development and testing of I&C building blocks, and it will interface with system owners and designers of electric and propulsion plant systems in determining needs in the usage of the I&C blocks. In addition, this includes interfacing with the equipment contractor, hands-on testing, and prototyping of hardware/software in support of new developments, and support of existing developments and improvements with the goal of meeting the system needs using the I&C blocks.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or
Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified; or
EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or
3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only); or
SRE qualified and 6 years of experience.

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Experience with writing or testing functional requirement
  • Reactor Plant or Propulsion Plant I&C design or operating experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink

Pay Range
$92,900.00 - $145,200.00 annually
