Elm Street, Suite 101 Denton, TX 76201 m1services.com Director, Proposal Content Job Code 113081 Contract Denton - Home Office Location Remote FLSA Status Exempt Union No FT/PT Full-Time Shift Work No Travel Possible Job Summary: M1 Support Services' Director, Proposal Content develops high-quality, compelling content for proposals in response to government and defense contract solicitations. This role requires a strategic thinker with advanced writing, editing, and project management skills who can collaborate with technical and executive teams to craft winning proposals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government acquisition processes, proposal content best practices, and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Proposal Development: * Lead the creation of compelling narratives and detailed technical descriptions that clearly articulate the value and differentiation of our offerings. * Develop high-quality, persuasive, and technically accurate proposal content that is customized for each solicitation, emphasizing clarity and strategic alignment with client needs. * Conduct in-depth reviews of proposal content to ensure precision, compliance, and effectiveness in meeting bid requirements. Collaboration & Strategy: * Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), technical teams, and executive leadership to gather essential information, ensuring that all proposal content accurately reflects M1's capabilities and .key win themes. * Align proposal content with corporate branding and strategic objectives, effectively communicating the company's strengths and market position. * Provide content-specific guidance and support to other BD members during all stages of the BD Process. Content Excellence: * Manage content development for multiple concurrent proposals under tight deadlines. * Craft templates and guidelines for the proposal content that enhance clarity and impact, ensuring consistency across all company proposals. * Oversee the development and refinement of key proposal sections, including executive summaries, technical approaches, and management plans, ensuring they are compelling and customer-focused. * Participate in color team reviews (e.g., Pink, Red, Gold) and refine proposal drafts based on feedback. Continuous Improvement: * Stay informed on industry trends, competitor strategies, and changes in procurement regulations to continuously improve the quality and competitiveness of proposal content. * Mentor and develop proposal writing talent within the organization, providing expert guidance and feedback to enhance their skills and contributions to proposal success. Additional Duties as Assigned: * Undertake additional responsibilities as required, supporting the broader goals of the business development and marketing teams. Qualifications, Education, and Experience: Page 2 of 2 Education: * Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred). Experience: * 8+ years of experience in government proposal writing, particularly in defense and aerospace. * Proven ability to write and manage proposals compliant with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations. Skills: * Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. * Strong project management skills, including prioritization and workflow management. * Experience using proposal management software (e.g., SharePoint, GovWin, Qvidian). * Familiarity with Shipley or APMP proposal development methodologies (preferred). Additional Qualifications: * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one (a plus). Working Conditions: * Occasional travel may be required for business meetings, legal proceedings, or company operations. * High-level decision-making responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. * Must be able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
