Position Purpose
We are seeking a motivated IT Operations Support Engineer II to join our Capital Bank Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, monitoring IT systems, and assisting with the stability, security, and efficiency of our Bank Systems. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and looking for process improvements.

Position Responsibilities



  • Provide second-level operations support for the Technology Service Desk, including hardware, software, and system-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and optimize system configurations.
  • Maintain and support enterprise applications, cloud services, and virtualization technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, patch management, and upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.


Minimum Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations, technical support, or a similar role.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
  • Financial Industry knowledge or experience working in a Bank setting preferred.


Technical Knowledge and Skills



  • Strong understanding of Windows Operating Systems.
  • Understanding networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Industry certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator.
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.


Work Environment



  • Hybrid or on-site role.
  • Participation in on-call rotations and after-hours support as needed.


Compensation:



  • Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
  • Additional Compensation: This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance.
