JOB SUMMARY

Provides support for sales, product, asset, and warehouse to resolve product quality issues through vendor returns and corrective action.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.



  • Work closely with our suppliers' quality departments and engineers to complete corrective and preventative actions to ensure we deliver the highest quality products to our customers.
  • Notify warehouses and sales of vendor recalls/quality alerts and coordinate the return of all suspect products.
  • Disposition of all non-conforming material in a timely manner and return to vendor for credit and/or replacement.
  • Work with vendors, our warehouses, freight carriers and accounting departments to resolve invoice discrepancies, shortages, overages, and price variances.
  • Help identify product to be returned on vendor stock rotation or scrap allowance coordination with Staff Services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • High School degree or equivalent, some college preferred but not required.
  • One year minimum experience working in a relevant position.
  • Experience in Electronics Distribution preferred.

  • Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in-office workdays.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
