Job Description: We are looking for a NOC Technician to join our intelligence program supporting a key government customer in McLean, Virginia. In this role, you will support the 24x7 Network Operations Center in providing network monitoring and service. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), customer networks, Intranet and Internet and other data communications systems or a segment of a network system.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- Perform routine network startup/shutdown procedures and maintain control records
Required Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience, which can be a combination of degree and work history:
- High School diploma plus 10 years of work history
- Associate's degree plus 8 years of work history
- Bachelors' degree plus 6 years of work history
- Masters plus 4 years of work history
- Hands on troubleshooting and fault isolation of IT systems
- Able and willing to work a shift schedule that includes weekend and holiday work.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with OpenText's Network Node Manager/NOM.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITOM
- Network certifications Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIE, ITIL Foundations, and/or CISSP.
Work Hours/Schedule:
- Dayshift
- Sunday/Wednesday: 6am - 2pm
- Monday/Tuesday: 6am - 6pm
