Provide technical and project management expertise to support strategic technology initiatives that are critical to the long-term success of FedEx. These initiatives include development of new capabilities or collaboration opportunities in advanced and emerging technologies space, usually involving participation of two or more FedEx operating companies. Responsibilities can range from enterprise forum facilitation to project management to providing technical and analytical input in assessment and application of advanced/emerging technologies (e.g., autonomous vehicles, robotics and other AI-ML applications) and supporting IT solutions. This includes planning, execution and testing of implementation of emerging technologies in FedEx operations working with technology developers, suppliers, and operations. Essential Functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree/equivalent in a business, technical or engineering field. Minimum Experience Five (5) years' experience facilitating larger programs or multi-function projects, to include providing innovative, forward looking technology leadership, and vision in a practical business environment. Familiarity with transportation/logistics industry is a plus. Strong leadership, problem solving, organizational and communications skills required. Experience in operations technology deployment, product development or emerging technology research and evaluation. Domicile Information This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
