Description

The Project Policy Analyst will provide analytical, administrative and managerial support to the Senior Nurse Scientist and staff in the Nursing Research, Evidence-Based Practice and Innovation Program at UCLA Health. Performs administrative and analytical duties that support advancement of research, innovation and evidence-based practice through existing and evolving structures and activities. Acts as a liaison between nurse investigators and study teams and the Institutional Review Board. Provides editorial assistance with correspondence, abstracts, manuscripts, grants, etc.Implements and manages multiple databases to track and analyze incoming and outgoing data for research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement activities. Develops internal systems to streamline communications. Develops, organizes and manages programs, events and special projects. Independently prioritizes and completes on-going assignments and projects following the prescribed University and/or departmental guidelines.

Salary: $28.30 -$54.74 Hourly

Qualifications

BA or BS preferred

Required:



  • 3-5 years of progressive responsibility in administrative support roles
  • Strong organizational and management skills sufficient to establish goals, and objectives, set timelines, achieve milestones, and assess progress toward achievement.
  • Demonstrates precision and accuracy in all assignments given.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, set priorities and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in work assignments.
  • Excellent skill in writing, composing correspondence, document development such as policies, procedures, and reports, and editing using proper grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax.
  • Excellent communication skills to obtain and convey information articulately and logically, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, clinicians, administrators, executives, staff, and public.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and organizational skills to interact courteously and effectively as a member of the team and with a large group and one-on-one.
  • Excellent typing and computer skills and working knowledge of a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Visio), Adobe Acrobat, online form builders such as Jotform, databases such as Access, newsletters and brochures such as Publisher, online processing, and webpage updating.
  • Skill in formatting, importing, and exporting data; merging documents; and translating documents across computer platforms.
  • Ability in making judgements and appropriate situational decisions.
  • Ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to take initiative to investigate and identify relevant issues and develop creative solutions to improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining complex filing systems.
  • Skill in analyzing information, locating viable resources, and making recommendations to the Senior Nurse Scientist.
