Competitive compensation package. Grade and salary commensurate with experience, with an annualized base salary range of 85,000.00 - 115,000.00plus a bonus based on team and individual performance. Description/Job Summary

The Corporate Business Analyst determines the requirements of projects, processes, and systems to implement effective solutions. The incumbent compiles business requirements from subject matter experts for project requests and works with technology providers to identify a solution addressing those requirements. The Corporate Business Analyst understands business processes and identifies and reviews potential solutions, staying engaged during the requirements, configuration, testing and implementation phases of a project.

Responsibilities/Duties

Business Process Improvements



  • Develops understanding of current business process
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement during project lifecycle
  • Engages with business subject matter experts to solicit ideas for new projects to improve business process

    • Collects business requirements from business subject matter experts
    • Asks probing questions to understand requirements and assess impacts of request
    • Engages technology service providers to convey business requirements


  • Supports business subject matter experts by discussing impacts and dependencies of decisions


Project Engagement Lifecycle



  • Attends project meetings providing input on configuration decisions, researching impacts of decisions, and tracking outstanding issues
  • Identifies business processes impacted and ensures the testing plan addresses these processes
  • Reviews testing plan with business and modifies based upon their feedback
  • Monitors results of testing plan for comparison with expected results
  • Assesses effectiveness of solution compared to business requirements once implemented


Documentation Review and Assessment



  • Reviews release notes and business requirement documents
  • Provides feedback concerning impact of technology changes to current business processes
  • Communicates impacts to Association stakeholders


Liaison



  • Acts as a liaison with Association subject matter experts, third party technology vendors and other Association partners.
  • Builds strong relationships with all stakeholders


Data Security and Confidentiality



  • Appropriately protects the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association's systems and data and clients' data


Required Skills



  • Proficient skill in computer technology
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and processes
  • Ability to assess business requirements and problem solve to identify a solution
  • Attention to detail to compile and review business requirements, project plans and testing plans
  • Skill in active listening, allowing understanding and communication of requirements and performance execution.

  • Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with a variety of audiences, including management, subject matter experts and vendors


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, computer science or related field and 5 years related work experience;

Or equivalent education, experience, and skillset sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
