Located in Lititz, PA and Lancaster, PA, we are currently accepting applications for a Test intern at our Lancaster location. The Test Technician Intern will provide support to various members of Sechan's test and calibration staff. Position Responsibilities: * Assist test technicians with testing electronic units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment. * Assist test technicians assemble electronic units by reading blue prints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions. * Assist test technicians with identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions. * Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment. * Assists test technicians assemble, test, and maintain test equipment or electronic systems according to engineering instructions. * Maintain inventory of test equipment, related documentation, and location of equipment. * Watch gauges, dials, and other indicators to make sure machines, environmental chambers, and electronic equipment is working properly. * Perform the above in accordance with the company's procedures for best practices. * Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment. * Perform other duties as assigned to drive the values, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization. Skills & Abilities: * Ability to work independently; a 'self-starter' that requires little supervision once given a task. * Possess good organizational and communication skills, enabling the candidate to work within and between integrated teams and perform a variety of tasks in a dynamic team environment. Qualifications: * Working towards Associate's Degree in Electronics. * Possess the technical experience and background to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the development, test, and production environments as needed. * Be able to obtain a security clearance. Work Environment: * Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. * 9/80 work schedule. |
