Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Senior Trip Coordinator. This role is responsible for determining eligibility for the program, arranging program events, coordinating the use of facilities, managing related program activity expenses, maintaining an activity database, supplying information about the activities, supervising volunteers, and offering further support to the program as needed. This position may entail offering direction to volunteers and staff members, in addition to supervising regular personnel.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s): * PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, Leesburg, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Coordinates assigned activities. * Organizes the staffing for various programs and activities. * Responsible for identifying and coordinating designated programs, which may encompass various types of camps, senior excursions, and seasonal activities. * Operates a passenger vehicle as required for the program. * Other essential duties related to the specific role and departmental assignment may also be performed.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Associate degree in a field related to the assigned program or department; two (2) years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: * It is preferred that candidates possess two years of experience working with older adults. * A minimum of two years of experience in the travel industry is preferred. * Bi-lingual skills including English preferred.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo criminal, DMV, and credit background checks. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to maintain eligibility. This position requires a CDL (Class C with Passenger endorsement) learner's permit within 3 months and a license within 6 months of hire. Must comply with the DOT regulations and Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Policy for Transportation Employees. First Aid/CPR certifications at hire or within four (4) months.
