Come join us this summer! Stay cool! Go on field trips! And have fun while working with kids of all ages. The hours are flexible but the fun... IS NOT! Shifts are flexible and available to fit any schedule! Multiple locations!

The Neighborhood and Human Services Department is hiring Site Leads for the Summer Camp program in the City of Peoria. The Summer Camp program is designed for youth ages 5-14 and is licensed by the Department of Health Services at multiple locations.

Site Leads assist the Teacher/Caregiver positions with supervising and monitoring the children in the Summer Camp program while actively participating with them through play and staff led enrichment opportunities, such as literacy, arts and crafts, games and STEAM projects. Plus there are field trips to places around the area each week!

Shifts: Varied shifts are available. Together, staff will work with you to create a schedule that fits your needs-choose to work morning, Monday through Friday. Or work afternoons instead. If you have more flexibility and desire more hours, work more and earn more!

Must be able to acquire upon hire:



  • Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • A valid negative TB test


Group Interview Schedule:

(Interviews last 2 hours. Please plan to arrive prior to interview start time. Come dressed to play.): All applicants must attend ONE group interview prior to receiving a job offer

  • March 21, 2025, 12pm-2pm: Rio Vista Recreation Center
  • April 10, 2025, 6:30pm-8:30pm: William L. Patena Community Center
