Primary Purpose of Department |
The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative and service goals. |
Primary Purpose of Position |
This position provides second-tier technology support for university constituents. This position serves as a technical consultant on academic and research projects for applications, operating systems, hardware, networking, and information security. This position is responsible for the routine and non-routine maintenance and support of desktop, laptop, and tablet computer systems, including software and hardware. This position supports the hardware, software, and research computing needs of the faculty. |
Summary of Position Responsibilities |
- Provide excellent customer service
- Provide troubleshooting expertise for hardware and software
- Image computers: desktops, laptops, tablets
- Provide consulting services for academic and administrative technology needs
- Work as a team, sharing information and ideas
- Work on special projects
- Maintain advanced level expertise in common and specialized computing technology, hardware, software, systems, and applications

Minimum Education/Experience |
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience |
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
- Experience with SCCM, JAMF, or both as tools for software maintenance. Familiarity with Apple and Microsoft environments
- Previous experience in a higher education or K-12 setting. Experience designing and implementing technology within teaching spaces, including computer classrooms.
- Graduation from a four-year college or university and two and one-half years of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role
