Position Overview: The Senior Accounting Analyst will support financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate financial records, and compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, as well as advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Review account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data, identifying discrepancies and recommending solutions.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and operational issues, providing actionable recommendations to management.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and all entries are recorded.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards, assisting in the development and improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Tax, etc.) to resolve accounting issues and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits, ensuring timely completion of audits.
  • Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance on accounting processes and systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
  • Occasional overtime during busy periods (quarter-end/year-end).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Experience with financial systems implementation
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
