High-Level Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tray Assembly Technician to join our team. The Tray Assembly Technician will assemble, package and ship surgical trays and implant banks for distribution. This role is within the Field Operations and Inventory Logistics department. The primary responsibilities include: picking parts, building sub-assemblies, building final assemblies, creating inventory transactions in our ERP system (Netsuite), maintaining accurate inventory records, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and communicating with various departments including Quality and Supply Chain to discuss/escalate problems and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities: The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.

  • Possess knowledge of Enovis Foot and Ankle product families and contents of surgical trays

  • Accurately and timely prepares, issues, and kits production material based upon the CAPEx List requirements in support of the launch schedule

  • Assembly, package and ship surgical trays and implant banks based on standard Bill of Materials (BOM) and tray configuration

  • Enter inventory transactions into ERP system accurately, following good data integrity principles

  • Performs physical inventories and cycle counts as required in support of the ERP system. Count assigned shelves thoroughly and accurately Compare part description with part manufacturers label to ensure accuracy

  • Study part transaction history to pinpoint where mistakes occurred

  • Performs physical and logical receiving duties, verifying that items and quantities match and generate component labels when necessary

  • Able to analyze ERP system transactions to resolve inventory variances

  • Discuss discrepancies or problems

  • Discuss opportunities for improvement

  • Record slow moving stock

  • Play a leading role in full physical inventories each yearother employees with count questions

  • Manage and organize all inventory related documentation

  • Communicate with other departments including Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Quality and Executive Committee regarding inventory fulfillment needs and updates. Work with Commercial and Marketing to ensure a proper configuration is maintained

  • Participate in continuous quality and performance improvement activities

  • Package/ship product to replenish internal and field inventory needs when necessary

  • Follow good documentation practices for completing and filing forms

  • Follow 5S methodology of cleaning, maintaining and organizing personal workspace and surrounding area

  • Additional responsibilities include: cycle counting warehouse inventory, identifying trends and suggesting corrective actions, communicate inventory-related issues and findings to supervisors and management, performing inventory audits, participation in continuous improvement activities, improving existing processes and storage methods, and cross training to various other roles within Field Operations and Inventory Logistics.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to operate a computer and other general office equipment

  • Must have basic mathematical skills

  • Must have legible handwriting

Work environment | Physical demands:

  • General office setting. The office is clean, orderly, and properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate

  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time

  • Periodic weekend or evening work is expected

  • Ability to tug, pull, or lift up to fifty (50) pounds

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous work experience in an inventory fulfillment position desired

  • Ability to articulate clearly, professional oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with little supervision

  • Previous work experience should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, self-motivation, flexibility, detail-oriented work style, professional appearance and attitude, and ability to effectively communicate with customers/clients at all levels

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality and sensitivity of customer records
