Job Description

Assembler Package Units-2nd shift

Will train on 1st shift and move to 2nd shift after training is completed.

Starting rate is $28.51/hour our plus an additional $1.50/hour shift premium when moved to 2nd shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Complete assembly of complex standard products where procedures and complex methods are prescribed, involving a considerable amount of tubing, piping, gauging, alignment and bending of parts to complete a package.
  • Required to use power or hand tools and other measuring devices to assure accurate and alignment of parts to meet drawing specifications and pass pressure and evacuation test requirements.
  • Perform pre-lube & leak testing of all units per standard test requirements.
  • Detect unusual conditions or material defects and report to proper supervision.
  • Read, understand and use drawing to manufacture product.
  • Perform necessary material handling associated with this job.
  • Maintain necessary time, quality, quantity and other records.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards.
  • May be called upon to participate within special work teams performing various team related duties. Including Kaizen events, 5S programs and problem solving exercises.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures and JHRA's.

Required Qualification:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the production staff.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to assist in creating and executing continuous improvement initiatives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds
  • This position requires a significant amount of walking; bending; standing and sitting for extended periods of time
