Sr. Principal DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an expert of DevOps Infrastructure to ensure crticical servers are up and running 24x7 without interruption.

This is a replacement position to help meet the DevOps needs of Fortinet rapidly growing workforce. With about 14,000 people worldwide (and growing) and the implementation of R&D CM systems, an expert of DevOps Infrastructure is needed to ensure servers, storage, redundancy, firewalls, VM Hypervisors are properly designed, implemented and operated. This role will be responsible of making improvement to DevOps infrastructure to satisfy new requirements from business or technology. In this critical role you will be based in our Sunnyvale Headquarters and work with team to support DevOps infrastructure including VMware ESXi, Openstack, Linux, Gitlab and FortiGate etc. This is an excellent opportunity to join a network security company and utilize the latest systems and equipment to support our network availability.

Job Responsibilities:

* Hands on deliver new DevOps infrastructure implementation to meet demands
* Responsible for overall infrastructure maintenance and support

* Responsible for properly Hypervisor (ESXi and Openstack) design and implementation, including HA Cluster, DR and security.

* Responsible for Linux systems setup and performance tuning, updates, patches, and security hardening.
* Responsible for patches and security updates of servers, software, and storages
* Responsible for properly infrastructure health and security monitoring system

Job Skills and Requirements:

* 10+ years on similar infrastructure at admin or support role at expert level.
* Comprehensive understanding of system hardware and infrastructure, familiar with enterprise servers from various vendors
* Expertise in VMware ESXi/vCenter solution is a must, VCP etc certificate is preferred.
* Expertise in one linux operation and maintenance is a must, RHCE certificate is preferred

* Expertise in linux scripting is a must
* Strong experience in Openstack is a must
* Experience in troubleshooting system problems
* Storage management (SAN/NAS), RAID configurations, and backup solutions is a plus.

* Experience in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, IOS etc., hands on experience on L2/L3 switching, Arista switch, Fortigate firewall is a plus

* Experience in python programming

* Experience in Gitlab CICD,Jenkins,JFrog Artifactory, terraform and ansible is a plus
* Hands-on experience supporting system in 24 x 7 enterprise environments
* Strong multi-tasking abilities
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
* Excellent English oral and written communications skills

Education Requirements:

* BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or equivalent education and experience)
* Master degree is preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,800-$209,300. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
