In this exciting role, you will work in the Scientific Data Division at Berkeley Lab as part of the Computational Biosciences Group to perform research into control theory for biological systems (neural populations, bioreactors) and development of neuromorphic computing circuit primitives. This role has the specific focus of developing ML methods to assess the feedback controllability of neural population dynamics recorded from brain organoids, working with applied mathematicians on evaluation of surrogate models of bioreactors, and developing/applying ML tools based on systems identification and information theory to assess the complexity of single neurons. This position requires a high-degree of team work and interdisciplinary activities. What You Will Do:
