Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Manager for the Inpatient Surgical Unit. The Manager will supervise and manage a 24-hour operations.

Management Incentive Bonus potential available with this position!

Shift: Days

The Manager, is responsible and accountable for the daily operations. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews, hires and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility.

License and Certification

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Education

  • RN-Bachelor's Degree, or
  • RN-Master's Degree

Experience required 3 years: Registered Nurse, Healthcare Management - Clinical Practice Care must have previous supervisory experience and BSN.

Unit Description: Inpatient Surgical Unit

Surgical Inpatient Unit primarily serving the Careplex postoperative patient population. Surgical specialties include Vascular, Neurosurgery, General, Orthopedic, Podiatric, Colorectal, Bariatric, Plastic, Gynecologic, and Urologic. We intermittently provide care to patients with general medical needs. We are seeking motivated, compassionate, intelligent, dedicated team members with a passion for best practices and desire for ongoing career growth.
