Job Duties: Associate, Data Analytics BI with Folio Financial, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah. Design and implement process improvements, including Reconciliation and Risk Mitigation, and provide business insights for data driven decisions for the various businesses and clients to mitigate risks and enhance the overall client experience applying quantitative skills: Reconciliation - Develop reconciliations in Alteryx to show breaks between two systems, either both internal or one internal/one external that affects financial books and records used by the Goldman Sachs Advisor Solutions Operations teams for them to take actions either to resolve the breaks or write-off the differences; and Risk Mitigation - Create dashboards to report Key Risk Indicators such as breaks, write-off amounts, etc. for Goldman Sachs Advisor Solutions Control team related to Operations so that they can co-ordinate with respective teams and take necessary actions to mitigate financial, compliance and reputational risks associated; interact with business, middle office, and engineering teams to work toward shared goals based on an understanding of product offerings and trade lifecycle; work with developers using the Agile project management methodology on project prioritization and stakeholder engagement to maximize delivery towards established business goals; mitigate risk for the firm and our clients by securely delivering data to stakeholders; develop Business Intelligence solutions for automation, dashboarding, data modelling and data querying across Goldman Sachs Advisor Solutions Operations using capabilities such as Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, and R or Python, including: Automation - Leverage Alteryx to develop applications that generate automated daily or weekly reporting for Goldman Sachs Advisor Solutions Operations to report financial metrics related to products like Equities, Options, Mutual funds, Alternatives etc. that are required to understand the health of process for respective teams; Dashboarding - Create dashboards including visualizations like charts, graphs, numbers etc. using Tableau to understand growth of business, revenue areas and improve client services that are used by Goldman Sachs Advisor Solutions Operations, Sales and Leadership teams to support the Registered Investment Advisors in financial domain; Data Modelling - Utilize SQL for storing financial data that is generated as an output from Alteryx reporting and is utilized further in Tableau dashboards used by the Operations and Sales teams for taking actions related to process improvements; and Data Querying - Develop SQL queries that are used by the Operations teams to extract data from data warehouses like Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake to do analysis on a need to do basis for the financial metrics that need to be reported internally and externally; and work extensively with proprietary tooling for data engineering, data modeling and querying.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related Business Intelligence or Digital Transformation role. Prior experience must include four (4) years in the following: driving organizational change through Business Intelligence using data visualization and statistical modeling or Digital Transformation using low code automation and Lean Six Sigma process efficiency; supporting a reconciliation, operational workflow or risk management function within a high-risk environment and developing and documenting requirements with full testing traceability, and communicating clearly with end users, development managers and other stakeholders on product requirements and usability. Prior experience must include two (2) years in the following: working with predictive analytics using Alteryx, Python or R, and applying statistical tools and principles, such as regression, hypothesis testing, sampling, and distributions; creating and maintaining ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes using SQL or Alteryx, and applying data modeling or using data warehousing for analytics and reporting; working on Data Visualization using Tableau or Power BI; working on data extraction from database using SQL or any other query language; and self-managing and monitoring projects, including defining, managing and meeting challenging deadlines and targets.
