Reporting to the Senior Manager, Site Accounting, Potash the Senior Accountant will be part of a team that is responsible for providing financial accounting expertise and support to our Potash Operations. This role will also be supporting initiatives to drive process improvements and consistency across all Potash plant accounting areas.

What you will do:



  • Support the daily operations of the Accounting Department by preparing journal entries, reviewing general and subsidiary ledgers, and managing capital project and asset accounting tasks.
  • Completion of month end procedures.
  • Analyze financials and communicate the results with various stakeholders.
  • Responsible for performing internal controls and responding to requests from internal and external auditors.
  • Acting as a liaison with other departments to assist with financial analysis and communications on accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Policy alignment initiatives and implementation.
  • Support and assist with continuous improvement initiatives and projects, inclusive of automation and process improvement.



What you will bring:



  • An undergraduate degree and a recognized professional accounting designation.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and GAA.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data base tools such as Power Query.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Commitment to deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Experience with SAP or Oracle is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a plant environment is considered an asset.



Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $79,100 - $146,800/annually. This range is estimated forSenior Accountant, Site Accounting, Potashin Loveland, Colorado, United States. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
