As a Software Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience delivering software to the market. You will be part of a team developing innovative solutions that transform lives and economies by improving health. You will work within an existing team and collaborate with them to deliver on projects. This position is required to be onsite at our West Des Moines, IA office. Essential Functions Apply AI/ML techniques to solve complex technology problems. Collaborate with other team members to develop AI-powered solutions. Utilize GitHub Copilot or other Artificial Intelligence tools to assist in writing, reviewing, and optimizing code. Document findings, present insights, and contribute to AI-driven strategies. Collaborate with the development team to improve workflow efficiency. Help solve technical challenges and debug issues. Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices. Requirements Must be currently enrolled in an Iowa college or university seeking a degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field. Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java (preferred), Javascript etc). Problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovation. Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools to build software applications. Current GPA of 3.0 or higher required. Must be within two years of graduation. Must be available to work 40 hours per week over the summer. Must be onsite at our West Des Moines, IA office. Preferred Skills: Github Co-pilot experience. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with cloud platforms.
