The Payroll Supervisor supervises Payroll associates, to ensure that the organization's payroll is processed accurately and timely. Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues. This position will work under the direction of the Payroll Manager. Detailed Description:
- Supervise a large payroll department in carrying out responsibility for payroll preparation/production.
- Oversee payroll transactions and reporting activities.
- Ensure that payroll is processed timely and accurately.
- Assist in payroll calculations, deductions, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support.
- Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate.
- Prepare employee wage summaries of earnings, taxes, deduction
- Address payroll related queries and requests from employees.
- Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions.
- Follow and enforce federal, state and local wage and hour standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of computers and applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in Company accounting systems
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure to complete work within established time parameters
- Strong organizational skills with time management and multi-tasking abilities

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in Payroll, knowledge of calculator, good math/accounting aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years of experience with Oracle software / payroll applications
- Experience in the oilfield services industry
- Supervisory experience
Additional Details: Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone and other office equipment.
