Are you an experienced accounting financial leader with a passion for manufacturing? We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of two manufacturing plants, Blairsville and Johnstown, while leading a dedicated accounting team. This is a high-impact role that requires expertise in GAAP, manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring GAAP, SOX, and internal policy compliance.



  • Manage and mentor a team of two accounting professionals.



  • Develop and maintain effective financial controls and business measurements.



  • Lead cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support strategic decisions.



  • Monitor inventory pricing, cost management, and financial variances to optimize profitability.



  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial closings.



  • Conduct financial analysis, including capital investment evaluations and product profitability reports.



  • Oversee tax compliance (direct and indirect) and regulatory reporting.



  • Support contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and business simplification initiatives.



  • Drive continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.




What We're Looking For:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred).



  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.



  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and cost accounting.



  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.



  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.



  • Proven leadership experience in managing accounting teams.



  • Ability to analyze complex data and present actionable insights.




Bonus Qualifications:


  • Lean office/manufacturing experience.



  • Exposure to contract negotiations, business performance metrics, and IT systems improvements.
