Job Overview

Performs welding and other tasks necessary to assemble the coach on the assembly line in a timely manner. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Following of all safety precautions and regulations for welding
  • Proficient with use of welding equipment and techniques
  • Must be able to interpret and understand drawings, Bills of materials and other verbal and written instructions
  • Working knowledge of fixtures, weld set up parameters, and fill materials applications
  • Inspection of work to ensure quality
  • Promote and Maintain a safe work environment
  • Using manual and power tools for finish grinding applications
  • Basic welding equipment maintenance knowledge
  • Problem solving
  • And other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate in English
  • Capable of reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to climb, twist, bend, stoop, stand, squat, grasp, and work over head
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds
  • Good hand eye coordination
