Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire Public Relations Coordinator. An innovative and creative thinker, the Public Relations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of communications and media relations activities relating to cross-practice initiatives and industry teams. In this key role, you'll work seamlessly with lawyers and with marketing, brand/creative, and business development professional staff teams across our footprint.

The Public Relations Coordinator is instrumental in executing the firm's communications and media relations strategies by assisting the day-to-day organization of these profile-raising campaigns, including assisting with content generation, writing, tracking, and distributions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with the Director of Public Relations and global PR team in the execution of cross-practice campaigns, including theme development, content creation, and charts appropriate dissemination across relevant communication vehicles.

  • Assists in executing profile-raising efforts, including media relations activities to position the firm and lawyers as leaders in their field.

  • Tracks project schedules, firm campaigns, and deadlines; and assists in reporting metrics to evaluate the impact of these efforts.

  • Composes and edits communication content to be used in media relations efforts and those highlighting media placements.

  • Owns creation and ongoing maintenance of the firm's media lists.

  • Assists with various reports to management and conducts competitive intelligence and media landscape research projects.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience with at least 1 year of public relations, media relations, communications, marketing, or comparable discipline in a law firm or other corporate setting.

  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally and experience excelling in highly matrixed work environments working across multiples business units and functional teams.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as manage projects and assignments to effectively prioritize and balance competing demands.

  • Ability to act with a high degree of integrity and maintain confidentiality and superior reasoning skills and sound business judgment.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and social media tools and resources.
