Senior Development Chemist

As a Product Development Chemist, you will work in the laboratory as a member of automotive refinish product development team in CIC (Allison Park, PA). This hands-on role will involve bench work, including formulation and testing, to ensure our products meet specific customer specifications and deliver performance in Refinish applications. You will use resource and provide technical solutions to challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and launch new Refinish product on time in full

• Work with global development labs, research team, marketing team, production team and customers to guide projects forward

• Communicate technical information to partners, ensuring understanding between customer needs and product capabilities.

• Work with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure successful product development and launch, adapting to changing project requirements and promoting a collaborative environment.

• Use Sigma logic methodology for design of experiment and data analysis

• Provide support to customer and production related issues

• Communicate and share expertise within the team and with collaborators

• Maintain a detailed laboratory notebook

• Maintain a safe, clean work area

Qualifications

• Degrees in Chemistry or related field

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of industrial experience, Master's degree with 7+ years of experience, or PhD with 3+ years of experience

• Must be a team player, collaborative and willing to give credit

• Knowledge of common coating formula techniques and testing procedures
