Job Summary
Under the general supervision of a nurse manager or other site leadership with indirect nursing leader support, performs diversified clinical duties by providing nursing care to acutely or chronically ill patients in an ambulatory setting.

Supporting the intake, evaluation, and coordination of the Robotic Cardiovascular Surgery Program and cross coverage support for the Structural Heart Program.

  • Fielding incoming referrals for Robotic Cardiovascular Surgery
  • Evaluation of past medical records and candidacy for Cardiovascular Surgery
  • Coordination of testing and appointments
  • Patient and family education on procedures, diagnosis, and condition
  • Post procedure communication and documentation to patient and referring care team
  • Maintenance of robotics patient database and use of technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite resources
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary team for procedure efficiency
  • Continuous education and academic advancement in robotic cardiovascular surgery
  • Collaboration with inpatient team for post-procedure follow-up and discharge
  • Cross coverage support with Structural Heart team
Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree In nursing from an NLN-approved school of nursing
  • 3 years of relevant experience Clinical nursing experience Required
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-At least one Certification from preferred list - UNKNOWN Unknown Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Specialty Certification - UNKNOWN Unknown appropriate specialty preferred
