Position: Analyst, I Investments (PDC Ops)
Location: Fountain Valley, CA, United States

Pay Range: $22-$33/hr.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Outstanding English and Korean written and oral communication skills.
  • 4 year college degree in Business Administration or equivalent a plus.
  • Project management experience.
  • Supplier relations management.
  • Experience with supplier quotations and bidding process.
  • Contracts administration experience.
  • Select and manage vendors, obtain quotes, negotiate price/services and award contracts.
  • Forecasting and/or Ad hoc reporting.
  • Experience with Asset management.
  • Warehouse Operations knowledge a plus.


Description
This Investment Analyst position for Tier 1 is required to be fluent in Korean in order to support translations of project proposals. Responsibilities includes analyzing RFQ (Request for Quote) process, pricing review and negotiation, as well as budget control and invoice management. It involves research, compilation, and analysis of data to ensure supplier quotations align with the benchmark, tracking and managing costs, explaining any variances, and coordinating projects and updates with PDC OPS and Lean Operations Depts. This role also includes project management tasks, completion reporting, as well as supporting Leadership, Coordinators, and Admin's requests and questions. The Investment Analyst is expected to conduct market research and data analysis of raw materials and components for future investments.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • PROCUREMENT: (30%)


    • Complete and translate full business cases for Capital Investment under the direction of Management and Coordinators.
    • Capital investment business case presentation to Senior Managers.
    • Submit RFQs to supplier for established bidding processes, monitor award process and submit "Letter of Intent" to suppliers. Attention needed to ensure labor costs, machine costs, and material costs are consistent and accurate.
    • Manage PDC Supply inventory and purchasing costs and vendor selection for cost effectiveness; Negotiating and contracting services and materials.
    • Manage supplier relationships and performance management. Select suppliers and evaluate, control and track direct costs associated with accessory parts by negotiating prices.


  • BUDGET CONTROL AND INVOICE MANAGEMENT: (15%)


    • Review, approve, and track project budgets and expenditures.
    • Control budget variances by working closely with procurement and project management teams.
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, liaise with suppliers and internal finance team.
    • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
    • Create and update expense reports.


  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: (15%)


    • Oversee and manage individual-led projects, such as purchasing PIT equipment for facilities, while collaborating with Project Managers on team-led, extensive initiatives.
    • Break individual-led projects into actionable tasks, set timeframes, and analyze associated risks and opportunities.
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives of individual-led projects.
    • Actively monitor the progress of individual-led projects, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and maintain open lines of communication to report status to all participants.
    • Collaborate effectively with Project Managers to provide necessary support and information for team-led projects.
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation for individual-led projects, managing timelines and expectations accordingly.


  • ON TIME LAUNCH: (15%)


    • Supervise the vendor's activities to ensure on time delivery of materials to support project completion.
    • Support and assist staff to administer and issue purchase orders, follow through with on-time-delivery to suppliers, process invoices to close and finalize orders.
    • Oversee project deadlines, progress, and outcomes to ensure timely launch.


  • NEWTORK SUPPORT: (10%)


    • Continuous analysis of PDC equipment requirements based on updates in employee headcount and IB/OB volumes.
    • Collate Capital Expenditure requests from all SCM sources (PDC Managers, SCM HQ Management Team, Coordinators) and submit Budgetary summaries for review and approval.
    • Monitor and measure supplier performance based on cost, quality and delivery criteria.


  • OTHER DUTIES: (15%)


    • Support the purchasing department's continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Review project proposal.
    • Suggest improvements to Tier 1 and Vendor purchasing systems to improve efficiencies, communication, and lead times for deliveries.
    • Perform ancillary duties as requested by management.



KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Successful completion rate of investment projects.
  • Support SCM departments in cost/savings analysis.
  • Maintain accurate real-time status updates on on-going projects.

WORK SCHEDULE/TRAVEL:

  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Occasional overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Suite required, SAP desired.
  • Proficiency in modeling company financial, performing valuation analysis, deal structuring and negotiation.
  • Superior work ethic, strong desire to learn, and uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, research and organizational skills.
  • Project manager skills.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
