ITA is seeking a Junior Analyst to join the Headquarters team in Newport News, VA.

This position is contingent upon position vacancy, expected late April 2025.



Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analyst to support our technology efforts by assisting the leadership team in creating and managing real-time data visualizations. This position will focus on leveraging Deltek CostPoint and IBM Cognos functionality to prepare actionable insights and reports for decision-makers. The Junior Analyst will play an integral role in troubleshooting issues related to ITA Power BI dashboards and build Power Applications to advance ITA's delivery of Technology Enabled Professional Services. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply AI and ML while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading software to contribute to the success of mission-critical government and commercial projects.

    Learn and utilize Deltek CostPoint and IBM Cognos to prepare interactive, real-time dashboards and reports within CostPoint Business Intelligence (BI) and Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Develop and maintain interactive PowerBI dashboards to visualize Owner-defined key performance indicators and enhance real-time decision-making capabilities for ITA.
  • Design and implement Power Apps to streamline ISO and Business processes, increasing efficiency and employee engagement throughout the company.
  • Learn and utilize AI and ML to advance ITA's capabilities from descriptive to diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to resolve technical issues and improve data integrity and accessibility.
  • Prepare and present recommendations for new system implementations, procedural changes, or organizational improvements that enhance dashboard performance and overall workflow.
  • Support ITA certification efforts and the implementation of Technology Enabled Professional Services (TEPS) vision.
  • Work closely with personnel from various departments to ensure smooth deployment of new data analytics systems, processes, or applications.
  • Participate in meetings and communicate effectively to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and on track during the implementation of data analytics tools, applications, or related technology processes.
  • Create and Provide training using user-friendly procedures, desk guides, and training materials for new visualization tools, applications, or processes


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data visualization such as DAX (in Excel and Power BI) and M (for Power Query). To include the ability to select appropriate visualization methods, build clear and compelling dashboards or graphics, and effectively communicate insights to non-technical audiences using Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with an emphasis on Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also taking ownership of individual tasks.
  • A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving, with a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analytics or business intelligence tools beyond PowerBI (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
  • Knowledge of SQL and the ability to query databases for data extraction and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of IBM Cognos.
  • Experience with Deltek CostPoint system, including understanding its functions related to financials, project management, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Practical use of AI tools and ML.
  • Previous experience in a government contracting environment or with government data requirements.
