The Senior Director, Strategy & Business Development will play a critical role in driving growth, partnerships, and strategic transactions within the Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Hemodialysis (HD) business units. This role will be responsible for identifying and managing opportunities through the deal flow funnel, including M&A, strategic partnerships, and portfolio optimization. The ideal candidate will bring investment banking, consulting or corporate business development experience, with a strong background in executing acquisitions, joint ventures, and sale/divestiture transactions to optimize Vantive's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Portfolio Optimization:

  • Develop and manage a robust deal pipeline, identifying opportunities for M&A, strategic partnerships.

  • Evaluate growth and portfolio optimization opportunities, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and maximizing value.

  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis, assessing industry trends, competitive dynamics, and business performance to identify opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, R&D, Operations, and Commercial teams, to evaluate and prioritize opportunities.

Transaction Execution & Deal Flow Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end transaction process, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and deal structuring.

  • Develop and execute strategies for monetizing non-core assets.

  • Partner with legal, regulatory, and finance teams to ensure the smooth execution of transactions.

  • Develop compelling business cases and investment rationales for executive leadership and board review.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning:

  • Work collaboratively with Strategy to stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive shifts to proactively identify opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, investors, investment banks and other deal constituents.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform corporate strategy and portfolio decisions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 15+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate business development, private equity, or strategy roles.

  • Proven success in executing complex transactions (e.g., M&A, partnerships, joint ventures, and divestitures).

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis.

  • Deep knowledge of the medical device, healthcare, or renal care industry is preferred.

  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $208,000 - $286,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
