Job Summary:

The Loan Operations Specialist I is responsible for an assigned range of loan operations duties required to service the bank's loan portfolio in accordance with the loan policy and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Upload all loans, extensions, and renewal information and documents in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
• Perform loan maintenance.
• Review loan documentation.
• Assist with file assembly and maintenance as needed.
• Prepare various reports as assigned.
• Complete all required training.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in banking or an administrative role is required.
• Strong computer skills are necessary.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to organize information effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements is necessary.
• Ability to function in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
• Must possess the ability to effectively relate to customers, officers, and others involved in the lending process.
• Willingness to represent Southern Bancorp through civic and community organizations.
• A background in banking and knowledge of loan transactions/terminology and clerical experience is preferred.
