Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Sunnyvale, CA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Install and configure network devices (i.e., network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices.

  • Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).

  • Detailed knowledge of audio / videoconferencing standards.

  • Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops.

  • Basic technical certification, hardware repair, component level knowledge, operating system (Windows, Unix/Linux, Apple) and application knowledge, troubleshooting techniques, physical capabilities to include lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Assist in the relocation of LM employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location). Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $34.65/hr.

Hours: 4x10

Length: Long term contract; opportunity of extension

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

5+ years of Desktop Support

High School Diploma

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Evaluates and tests software programs to verify functionality according to specifications and standards
  • Demonstrates excellent Customer Service
  • Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).
  • Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops.
  • Assist in the relocation of customer employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location).Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)
  • Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment.
  • Clean driving record as an MVR will be ran. Please note, you must be comfortable potentially driving company vehicles/cars from site to site.
