Please review the responsibilities and needed qualifications below and apply today! Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for an Accountant in the Boise, ID Headquarters Office. Responsibilities Perform general transactional and GL accounting. Focus of responsibilities are to perform accounts payable, inventory reconciliation, receiving, invoicing and reman functions as it pertains to established programs and the importing process. Financial analysis activities, include preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of ledger accounts, report accounting transactions and system maintenance ensuring integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles including ERISA and SEC requirement where applicable. Provide support to internal customers and maintain strong working relationships with division buyers and location associates. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Demonstrates a commitment to Total Quality and the process of continuous improvement; identifies and responds actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and is open and responsive to change. Limited travel required to perform offsite inventory reconciliations. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Requires college degree or equivalent work experience in a related job function. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in applying accounting principles/theories and concepts (SEC, GAAP, ERISA, PeopleSoft and internal processes, etc.) Working conditions are in a normal office environment with minimal physical exertion. Preferred Qualifications: Typically more than three (3) years of experience in related job function. Senior level will typically have five (5) to seven (7) years experience, and may require professional certification.
