Description
- Perform project-specific sample analysis using a range of analytical techniques, instrumentation, and software, including but not limited to:
- Scanning Election Microscope (SEM)
- Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA)
- Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FT-IR)
- Differential Scanning Colorimeter (DSC)
- Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA)
- Gas Chromatography (GC)
- UV Spectrometer
- Generate comprehensive reports that summarize testing results, analysis, and conclusions.
- Analyze data and ensure compliance with strict documentation standards for accurate record-keeping.
- Develop and optimize analytical methods to support ongoing projects and product improvements. Work closely with teams across different departments, including R&D, Quality Control, and Customer Service, to provide analytical support and meet organizational objectives. Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical equipment to ensure all equipment is in good working order and compliant with quality standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, reducing analytical errors, and improving turnaround times. Support the Quality department by gathering, analyzing, and scraping data from various sources to identify trends and insights.
- Work closely with the Quality Control and R&D teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance laboratory performance.
- Train and mentor junior lab staff in testing procedures, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

Qualifications
Education
Masters of Chemistry (preferred)
Bachelors of Chemistry (required)
Experience
6 - 8 years: Previous experience in Analytical Chemist role (required)
2 - 3 years: Experience in PVC or Engineering plastics (preferred)
2 - 3 years: Experience in polymers/plastics (preferred)
