JOB ANNOUNCEMENT PROJECT DIRECTOR Department of Fleet and Facility Management Number of Positions: 1 Applications for this position will be accepted from 3/13/25 until 11:59pm CDT on 3/27/25 The City of Chicago is seeking a Project Director to manage the planning, design and administration of capital and public works projects in a high-paced environment, and performs related duties as required ESSENTIAL DUTIES Additional duties may be required for this position Location: 2 North LaSalle, Chicago, IL 60602 THIS POSITION IS NOT IN THE CAREER SERVICE Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning or a directly related degree, plus five years of experience in the planning, design and construction of public works projects of which three years are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, provided the minimum degree requirement is met SELECTION REQUIREMENTS ***Preference will be given to applicants with a professional architecture or engineering license For Information on our employees benefits please visit our benefits website at: For Information on our salary and title structure visit our classifications website at: APPLICATION EVALUATION: Initial evaluation will be based on information provided on the application and the documents submitted.
