What you will do

Under general supervision of the project owner, oversees the entire construction effort to ensure timely completion within the defined scope, budget, and schedule. Supervises on-site activities for Johnson Controls on significant projects. Coordinates Johnson Controls' work with that of other site contractors to ensure compliance with the project terms and conditions.

How you will do it

  • Collaborates with the Major Projects team to identify and align project objectives with the scope, budget, and schedule.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction and compliance with the scope of work through daily site inspections.

  • Submits regular progress updates to be integrated into the master plan/schedule, providing variance analysis reports.

  • May serve as the project safety program and/or QA/QC coordinator.

  • Coordinates with Regional and Branch Leadership via the assigned Major Projects Project Manager to ensure adequate resources meet project objectives.

  • Addresses site conflicts related to work sequencing and unforeseen conditions.

  • Works alongside the Project Manager in managing risks and assists in the development of project recovery plans, ensuring their implementation.

  • Ensures project document controls adhere to contract requirements as well as Johnson Controls policies and standards.

  • Communicates expectations clearly to subcontractors.

  • Ensures subcontractors maintain adequate staffing levels to adhere to the project schedule.

  • Participates in project meetings encompassing all scheduling and commissioning activities.

What we look for

Required

  • Associate Degree with 5 to 7 years of direct project coordination and supervisory experience in the Commercial and/or Industrial Building Construction Industry, or 8 years of direct field experience in the fire alarm life safety industry.

  • Must possess exceptional coordination skills and the capability to supervise multiple large project activities simultaneously.

  • A high level of competency in both written and verbal communication skills is essential.

  • Ability to travel up to 100% based on project assignment outside the designated geographical territory. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment. Experience with project scopes of $1 million or more.

  • Must hold at least NICET Level II certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
