SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates warehouse activities to provide the safe, orderly, and expeditious movement of freight. Carries out supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Performs the following duties personally or through subordinates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Promotes the safety culture to the department and throughout the company. Oversight of all warehouse ground operations including shipping,receiving and customer relations. Standardizes high levels of service to clients. Reports irregularities, issues and successes to the Manager. Responsible for the administration, supervision and training of all warehouse personnel. Provides customer service by means of customer contact including providing general and specific informationand resolution of specific and general customer problems. Ensures all Federaland Staterules and regulations are adhered to. Responsible for all customer service and warehouse equipment and supplies. Assists Manager withWarehouse budgets. Regular attendance is required. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manageslead personnel who are responsible for warehouse employees.Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training of employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
