Overview

The construction Dozer grading operator performs tasks involving physical labor at highway and heavy construction projects. The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools, heavy machinery and may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials. The position may assist other workers.



Responsibilities

1.Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway constructionprojects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces.
2.Operate/drives equipment to excavate, move material, and grade in a safe manner as needed.
3.Excavates and fills trenches and ditches.
4.Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day toeliminate potential hazards.
5.Proficient in putting down setting up and fine grading for paving
6.Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
7.Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problemsto the attention of the foreman, safety director or HR manager.
