*Description*
One of our healthcare customers is looking for desktop technicians to assist in their migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Candidates should be flexible to work within Manhattan and the boroughs. They should have prior experience with Windows OS imaging, preferably with Windows 11, deploying and configuring desktops, laptops and other peripheral devices, and troubleshooting of hardware, software and connectivity issues. Should be able to maintain and update inventory data. Mt. Sinai is looking for 20 desktop technicians to assist with their Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration across the entire health system. Candidates will primarily be responsible for migrating existing machines from Win 10 to Win 11 which would include making sure that user data is backed up, imaging the machine with the new Win 11 image, and then restoring the user data/applications and possibly remapping them to the correct print queues, testing for connectivity, etc. If the user's machine is also being refreshed, then they would inventory, stage and image the machine, and then deploy to the user, making sure they have access to their applications, email, etc. Since the user interface for Win 11 will look different than their current Win 10 image, they may need to assist the user when they log-in for the first time on basic navigation of the Windows screen, location of icons, etc. The technicians may also assist in other desktop related activities that could include but not be limited to installing, configuring and deploying other peripheral devices (mobile devices, monitors, scanners, printers, etc), and assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting tickets out of ServiceNow if needed. They are looking to bring on techs that could be stationed at the following sites, plus a couple of techs to help cover remote sites (ambulatory locations in and around the city/boroughs). Each site will have a handful of techs dedicated, but technicians must be open to moving to other sites as requested if they have to readjust staffing levels. About 8 techs will be needed on the Upper East Main campus/School of Medicine and the other 12 will be divided up to support the other locations. Midtown West: Mt.
