DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position requires possession of personal hand tools commonly used by journeyman electricians. Primary responsibilities include cleaning and lubricating ventilation fan motors, bearings, dampers, and drive units, alongside executing mechanical repairs and part replacements. You will be tasked with diagnosing electrical circuit problems and defective components by interpreting diagrams and utilizing testing equipment. Additional duties encompass repairing or replacing worn parts and servicing both low-voltage control circuits and high-voltage systems, which involves cleaning tunnel light fixtures and rewiring. The installation of electrical devices, fixtures, cables, and conduits must adhere to industry standards. The role also includes maintaining detection and recording devices, with a requirement to work shifts that extend beyond standard hours. Physical requirements involve lifting up to 50 lbs, operating various electrical tools, climbing ladders, and working at heights. Furthermore, establishing traffic patterns for work-zone safety is necessary. The job may require prolonged standing or walking while wearing safety gear and working in proximity to moving traffic, which necessitates strict safety measures. There is a potential risk of encountering hazardous plants, insects, or animals, and employees may experience injuries such as bruises or sprains. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Possible rotating shift work due to 24/7 operations
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Five years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
