DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Dentist, you will examine, treat, and offer complete dental care to hospital patients. You will perform dental and oral cancer examinations upon patient admission as well as annually, and provide interim dental and oral care as needed. You will also supervise dental hygienists, coordinate oral surgery referrals, and prescribe medication and prosthetic appliances. This role requires the ability to deliver dental care with compassion and professionalism while maintaining hospital regulations and standards for dental services. In addition, you will attend joint medical and psychiatric staff meetings, perform audits and reviews, and maintain dental records. Interested in learning more? - Part-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM, Monday - Friday. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved school of dentistry.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Special Requirements:
- Possession of a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
