The Area Director is a key leader within our services organization, serving as both an extension of executive leadership in the field and the overall owner of the service-delivery business for the territory across all WWT service lines. Requirements/Job Duties: Leadership
- Build and lead a world class Services organization with the respective theatre.
- Lead team of RMs and/or PDs (direct reports) within region promoting best-practice, consistent collaboration with customers and sales teams, execution of scope capture to value realization through quality delivery.
- Lead collaboration between regional leaders (from service delivery, services sales, sales, finance, operations, and IT) in executing as a high-performance team leveraging POD frameworks.
Financial Management
- Manage services P&L for region to optimize profitability and investment.
- Actively oversee performance metrics including team utilization, budget vs actual hours and project margins.
- Monitor risks, issues and financial metrics and act as needed to protect GP and preserve our customer experience.
- Forecast financial performance by coordinating with RMs and/or PDs, PMO, finance, and sales.
Sales Support
- Ensure feedback regarding service-delivery performance is provided to services-sales team via lessons-learned reviews, client feedback, etc.
- Educate sales and service-delivery teams within region on services org, value proposition, capabilities, offerings, success stories, etc. (directly and with a train-the-trainer approach via RMs and/or PDs)
- Co-develop services strategy, offerings and GTM, based on feedback from region.
- Work with leadership for teams such as Global Sales, Customer Success and Business Development to adapt our services sales, product, and partner strategies.
- Present and report on relative portfolios in internal and external analyst forums.
Quality Assurance
- Collect feedback from clients and sales counterparts regarding service-delivery performance (directly and via RMs and/or PDs).
- Implement, monitor, and report on service-delivery KPIs and qualitative gauges.
- Review and approve large, complex, high-risk SOWs and MSAs in region.
- Act as the escalation point for project issues, work with the team to develop solutions to problems, drive customer alignment, and be accountable for project success.
Operational Efficiency
- Collaborate with leadership (at a global, regional account level, as appropriate) to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements, tools enhancements, etc.
- Promote efforts to pilot or implement next-gen service-delivery approaches, resourcing models, tools, and automation within the region.
- Advocate for regional requirements for resource, process, and tools improvements to executive/national leadership.
- Maintain operational health across bookings, backlog, and billing metrics.
Qualifications:
- Able to manage contract modifications and lead off negotiations surrounding contract scope, cost, and schedule
- Minimum of 10 years leadership experience in Professional Services.
- Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred.
- Experience creating and supporting of various services business models, delivery models and partnering arrangements, including Professional Services, Managed Services, Cloud Services, Staffing Services, etc.
- Demonstrated experience crafting win/win solutions with customers, sales and services delivery organizations.
- Demonstrated experience leading through influence in matrixed organizations.
- Strong organizational skills (PMP or PM experience).
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to address sensitive and complex issues tactfully and professionally.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to speak at the executive level and build relationships.
- Strong understanding of financial processes. Demonstrated ability to create pro formas, track project metrics, forecast future trends and manage change.
- Strong understanding of contract processes. Demonstrated ability to manage contract modifications and take the lead on negotiations surrounding contract scope, cost and schedule.
- Valid drivers license.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $225,000. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
