Purpose of the Position: Supervises all Front Office operations to ensure profitability, control costs and quality standards to ensure total guest satisfaction. Supervises Front Office staff and assists with greeting guests, checking guests in and out, handling guests requests and complaints, and handling group check-ins.

As our Front Office Supervisor, you would:

  • Supervise front office staff and bell staff as needed.
  • Insure all daily functions from checklist are completed.
  • Greet guests and checks them in and out.
  • Answer phones.
  • Perform manual positioning of transactions.
  • Handle money, credit cards and checks.
  • Issue mail and messages to guests.
  • Deal with guest complaints.
  • Take reservations.
  • Provide directions and answers guest questions.
  • Enter wake-up calls.
  • Load paper/toner into machines.
  • Take responsibility for house bank.
  • Provide leadership during emergency situations.
  • Make recommendations to his/her supervisor regarding improved methods and procedures so as to have a positive impact on guest/associate satisfaction.
  • Attend all required department and other meetings.
  • Establish and maintain effective associate relations.
  • Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance are maintained.
  • Have full knowledge and participation in the hotel's Fire, Safety, Security and Environmental plan and/or committees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Previous guest service experience.
  • Great communication, customer service and math skills.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Accurate compute aptitude.
  • Supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines for assignments and projects.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guests concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
