Clariant is seeking a proactive Maintenance Planner to support the efficient operation of the PPCAT Plant in Louisville, KY. This role focuses on planning and coordinating maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and operational efficiency. You will develop and optimize maintenance schedules, ensure all activities are planned at least one week in advance, and collaborate closely with maintenance teams and operations personnel. Additionally, you will manage maintenance data to drive continuous improvement. This position is primarily office-based with some fieldwork to support planning efforts. Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal sequencing and timing of work orders
* Communicate and coordinate schedules with all affected parties to prevent delays and maximize efficiency
* Create, document, and maintain task lists and technical plant documentation
* Ensure accuracy and accessibility of maintenance records for reference and compliance
* Ensure proper closure and documentation of work orders with accurate information
* Distribute procedures and continuously refine job plans based on feedback
* Maintain asset tracking and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within SAP
* Initiate equipment repair processes and provide feedback on parts inventory management
* Ensure maintenance activities align with safety and environmental regulations
* Support site safety objectives and promote a culture of compliance
* Develop and oversee weekly and outage maintenance schedules
* Optimize resource utilization and lead regular planning meetings
* Plan and support shutdowns and outages, analyzing equipment needs and coordinating activities
* Conduct post-outage reviews to assess performance and implement improvements
* Research and implement industry best practices to enhance maintenance processes
* Maintain a strong preventive maintenance culture and conduct regular optimization reviews
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a college/university/technical school or 5+ years of equivalent education/experience
* 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
* Strong electrical, mechanical, and spatial aptitude
* Ability to apply root cause analysis, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies
* Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), such as SAP, Maximo, or similar platforms
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for scheduling, tracking work orders, and analyzing maintenance data
